City Information Website for Delegates

The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau has developed a city information website designed to give delegates all the information they need in one place, including travel, attractions, discounts and restaurants.

 

 

How to reach Glasgow by air

The area is served by three airports:

  • Glasgow International Airport (GLA), which is eight miles west of the city. See the GLA website for "to and from" information.
     
  • Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK), which is 30 miles to the south. See the PIK website for "to and from" information.
     
  • Edinburgh Airport (EDI), around 40 miles to the East. The Citylink Air is a non-stop service to Glasgow and provides regular links to Glasgow city centre where there is an opportunity to connect to local Glasgow services.
    Frequency
    : Seven days a week every 30 minutes at peak times
    Journey time
    : 60 minutes
    Fare: £11 single, £18 return.  Tickets can either be bought online via www.citylink.co.uk, from the driver or at the Visit Scotland desk by International Arrivals at Edinburgh Airport.

Conference Rover ticket

A special offer is available to conference delegates on rail travel between the city centre and SECC.

The Conference Rover ticket is GBP 5 for up to five days travel within the ‘Conference Zone’.

Glasgow Taxis Discount

Glasgow Taxis are pleased to extend an offer to conference delegates, helping to save on your journey between Glasgow Airport and Glasgow City Centre.
Pre-book your taxi by calling +44 (0) 141 429 7070 using code CM7 for journeys from Glasgow Airport to the City Centre or code CM5 from the City Centre to Glasgow Airport.
Each journey will be £17 instead, saving you £3 on the usual fare of £20.
